The issue is not resisting the urge to shoot. I've been shooting so much and without thinking. I have lot my way and have no direction. The break is to stop me from wasting time and money and take some time out to think about if and what I should do next.
The hiatus is going well thanks for asking. Although I fear the ideas I have are much harder to execute.
Time will tell I guess.

I don´t know what´s going on, but I don´t need to know. You´re stream was so good that after a while I didn´t want to have a look that often anymore. It gave me an extensive look into a world I´d like to visit but probably never ever will.
Not sure which whom you compare your images with, but your best can surely stand the test of times.

I can only echo what others have said here, as your photographs as a body of work are truly inspirational.

I think every photographer/artist feels the way you do at some point, but this is a good thing because it’s the anticipation of continually learning/getting better that drives you (no matter if you are an amateur or professional in any field). It’s this reason I honestly hope there is never a day I feel content my work.

However you have to enjoy the process along the way and if you are not, simply ask yourself why you are doing it, which is what you have obviously done.

I look forward to seeing more of your work (whenever that may be) because it’s photographers like you that set the bar for others (including myself) to aspire to and learn from.

IMO the following were fantastic shots (and i wish that i had taken them):

-man on subway with hand in jacket and those fantastic collars
-photo booth x2
-long haired tramp with catch lights
-man reading paper on train platform

Thanks for the kind words. If we have so much in common we're bound to run into each other. I'm not leaving Japan so give me a shout the next time you think you're going to meet up with a mutual friend and I'll meet up.
